Club House Restaurant (DR)

  • Assist in the formal training of all Food and Beverage associate. Assess associate needs based on observation.
  • Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, using their name whenever possible.  Insure prompt and courteous service is provided to all guests encountered in the Food and Beverage departments and during all activities or events at the Resort.
  • Provide outstanding guest and Associate service while performing assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information about Pearl River Resort to the guests.  Monitor the associates of the assigned restaurant to ensure that they provide service in accordance with these same standards and take action to correct any noted deficiencies.
  • Manage and monitor the operations of the assigned restaurant to ensure compliance with all standards and requirements established by the Director of Food and Beverage, health and regulatory agencies or standards and Resort policies or procedures.  Oversee the service operations of the outlet by monitoring and instructing associates in the proper performance of their assigned job duties.
  • Listen to, investigate and resolve guest complaints or issues with the assigned restaurant.  Communicate and interact with other Restaurant Managers, Assistant Restaurant Managers, Food Shift Supervisors and associates as necessary.
  • Inspect and monitor the cleanliness and appearance of the entire restaurant area and the assigned associates.  Comply with all health codes, regulations and mandates.
  • Know, understand and follow all established safety and approved work practices in completing the assigned tasks.  Report any equipment malfunctions or room defects to the supervisor on duty or the Resort Safety Coordinator immediately.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making and judgment in evaluating business situations, solutions and opportunities, prior to the commitment of funds, facilities services or personnel.
  • Proficiently operate the established POS systems, Stratton-Warren Inventory System, and back office computer systems for the assigned restaurant.
  • Implement the Resort’s Mission, Value System, and Guest Promise within the departments with the measurement of success consisting of demonstration of these principles by all Associates within the Food and Beverage departments.
  • Accomplish assigned tasks successfully and on-time and within the established budget constraints.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in all phases of completing the assigned responsibilities and duties and promote the same attitude to the other Food and Beverage Associates.
  • Protect and monitor all hotel property and equipment assigned to the department to safeguard against thefts, accidents and damage.
  • Review and maintain the established work schedule for the associates based on guest’s forecasts, business needs and special events or tournaments.  Delegate work and station assignments as necessary.  Assist the staff in the completion of their assigned duties when needed.
  • Supervise, lead and provide guidance to the assigned Food and Beverage Associates and leaders.
  • Develop the talents and skills of Associates in the department as measured by guest satisfaction with the department, Associate satisfaction with their work place, and successful advancement of Associates within the department.
  • Provide input and advice in the preparation of associates performance evaluations and disciplinary notices, as required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Resorts’ layout and be able to quickly locate function rooms, meeting rooms, convention facilities and any equipment shared with other departments or stored in areas outside the affected restaurants.
  • Track stock levels of commonly used items and assist in controlling the established par levels.  Assist in conducting monthly inventories carried out on all departmental equipment stores, i.e., glasses, silverware, plates, mops, buckets, etc.
  • Assist in meeting the expectations set forth in the department’s operating revenue and expense budgets as measured by profitability and attaining reasonable rates of return on investment of costs and expenses.
  • Take the initiative by undertaking self-development activities, seeking increased responsibilities, asking for help and offering assistance to others when needed.
  • Assist in attracting, developing, and retaining a high-caliber level of talent to work within the Resort’s Food and Beverage departments, as well as in other required roles.
  • Contribute to developing new ideas, programs and offerings that will attract new guests and encourage previous guests to return to the Resort.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 


  • Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma, Or a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of previous progressive Food and Beverage experienceor have some previous management experience in fast-paced food and beverage outlet.
  • Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to guests and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.
  • Must have the ability to set direction, inspire, and motivate all associates in the department to provide the highest levels of guest service. Must be willing to be a team player and partner with other associates in order to complete the assigned tasks.
  • Must possess good organizational skills and be able to multi – Task when conducting the assigned responsibilities.
  • Must be able to provide a professional presence and appearance. The candidate must be honest and fair in all action , decisions and assignments
  • Must be willing and able to follow all departmental policies and procedures, as required.
  • Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Moderate physical effort required.
  • Excessive walking required during the assigned shift, approximately 75% of each shift.
  • Must be able to stand and talk for periods in excess of four (4) hours at a time.
  • Must be able to frequently walk, sit, and perform other functions as needed in all type of weather.
  • Must be able to consistently bend, stoop, climb reach, kneel and stretch during their assigned shift.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
