Food Court

  • Receive and understand food orders from the dining room and the assigned supervisor.
  • Assist the other assigned personnel in the preparation of the requested food and to coordinate the orders for pick up by the Food Server.
  • Prepare orders according to standard recipes in a proper, professional, and timely manner.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work stations, kitchen area, walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Assure the production of the best quality possible in a proper sanitary and professional manner.
  • Maintain the inventory of the work stations.  Control waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage and over production.
  • Order stock for the next day or the next shift, as required.
  • Inform the Chef on duty of any problems they may encounter during the shift.
  • Assist in providing breaks for other Associates working the line, as necessary when advised.
  • Work with and communicate with the other Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Kitchen Workers, and Food Server, as required.
  •  Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma, a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous progressive Food and Beverage experience in the culinary side of operations is preferred.
  • Must have completed a Serv Safe awareness class prior to starting work.
  • Must possess some analytical skills and have a high degree of originality, initiative, and judgment.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, in contact with Associates and other department personnel.
  • Must have the ability to work independently without direct oversight and management.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and an intense desire to be the best by being a hands-on, results-oriented Associate who is committed to ensuring that the established goals and objectives are met.
  • Must be a dedicated individual who understands the concept and need for teamwork, while assisting other Associates and departments to meet their established goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to provide a professional presence and appearance.
  • Must have a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deploy resources effectively.
  • Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays and additional hours as required.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, sometimes in excess of 10 hours.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that utilizes heat and flames in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to frequently walk, sit and perform functions with each hand and arm.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial type environment with a potential noise level reaching in excess of 70 decibels at times.
  • Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, kneeling, pulling and pushing may be required throughout the assigned shift.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on occasions.
  • Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex recipes.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
