Spa Receptionist (PT)

Description:

In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service and attention to detail is essential, how do we ensure all of our Spa guests are happy with our service?   As a Spa Receptionist you will have the opportunity to provide our guests with the very highest level of friendly and efficient customer service that will enhance their spa visit experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Ensure a positive experience for Spa and Salon guests as they check in and out and purchase products.
  2. *Greet and check in guests and provide them with information regarding their appointment.
  3. *Maintain and update electronic scheduling system and keep an organized and reliable process for scheduling services.
  4. *Answer phones, schedule spa appointments, reserve services, look up appointments and answer caller questions.
  5. *Maintain communication with spa staff regarding appointment bookings and inform them of guest arrivals.  
  6. *Introduce guests to products and services offered by the spa and salon and sell products in the retail area of the spa.
  7. *Handle monetary transactions to take payment for spa services and products purchased using a point of sale system including maintaining an accurate cash draw and balancing draw at the close of each shift.
  8. *Provide guests with information and respond to guest questions and requests regarding the spa, salon, and other services available at the spa, hotel, and casino.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of spa’s reception area.
  10. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma and 1 year of related experience are required.  Previous spa experience is preferred.
  2. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and computer skills. Experience using a point of sale (POS system) and electronic scheduling system are preferred.
  3. The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  4. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
  5. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  6. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  7. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  8. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the spa and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.  The team member must be able to operate a personal computer/point-of-sale (POS) system. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally with assistance.  Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.    

 

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The Spa is a smoke free environment however the facility is not smoke free. While performing this job the team member is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
