Cage Inventory Cashier

Description:

In this fast paced, high energy environment where accuracy is essential, how do we keep track of our many casino transactions?  As a Cage Inventory Cashier you will assist in the tracking process by maintaining security and accountability of assigned bankroll, inventory, and related transactions during your shift. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Maintain security and accountability of assigned bankroll, inventory, and related transactions during an assigned shift.
  2. *Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
  3. *Research and resolve any variance errors that may arise during the shift.
  4. *Perform drop functions, replenishment, reconciliation, and address common guest service issues.
  5. *Prepare, distribute, and document bankroll and inventory items to team members using computer software or manual processes.
  6. *Receive, count, verify, and record bankroll and inventory items from team members using computer software or manual processes.
  7. *Prepare and record bank deposits.
  8. *Perform exchanges of currency and negotiable items with team members.
  9. Cross train and work in all areas of Cage Inventory Operations.
  10. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of cash handling experience are required.
  2. The ability to demonstrate basic math skills including adding, subtracting multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
  3. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment including a calculator and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Previous experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred.
  4. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  5. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  6. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.  The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.  Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

 

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
