Description:

As a Soft Count team member you will process collected funds through the operation of a currency counting machine and then manually account for funds. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Process collected funds by operating large currency counting machines including but not limited to loading and unloading the machine.
  2. *Process funds from multiple revenue sources using established procedures.
  3. *Sort, count, and record information to verify revenue counts accurately.
  4. *Calculate and complete multiple transfers accurately and quickly.
  5. *Prepare required equipment and documentation on a daily basis.
  6. Participate in various multi-task positions.
  7. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year previous machine operation, assembly line, or cash handling experience is required.
  2. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
  3. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer skills.
  4. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  5. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  6. The ability to work in a secured, enclosed environment.
  7. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  8. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, stand, and move for duration of scheduled shift in a physically demanding, fast paced environment.  The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.    

 

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually loud.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member works in a secured, enclosed environment near moving mechanical parts.
