Slot Attendant

Description:

In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we ensure that our guests are happy with our service and are enjoying their slots playing experience? As a Slots Attendant you will show a genuine passion for guest service, and ensure your guests know how to play, read, and understand the slot machines.  While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Promote positive guest and fellow team member relations.
  2. *Assist the guests on how to play, read and understand the slot machines.
  3. *Minor slot machine repair including but not limited to ticket and bill jams, and ticket replenishment as required.
  4. *Monitor the operation of assigned slot machines and participates in payout of manual jackpots in accordance with company policy.
  5. *Complete and sign necessary forms accurately.
  6. *Responsible for balancing money pouches and signing proper paperwork.
  7. Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
  8. Maintain a neat and clean assigned work area.
  9. Responsible to maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  10. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of prior work experience is required.
  2. One year experience in the gaming or hospitality industry preferred.
  3. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
  4. Ability to use a calculator.
  5. The ability to read and interpret written instructions and write simple correspondence.
  6. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups.
  7. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  8. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  9. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.  The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.   The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 30 pounds on a regular basis without assistance or more with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increase.  The facility is not smoke free.
