Employee Dining Room Cashier

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Greet the guests with a friendly expression of acknowledgement. Assess, anticipate, and attend to guest needs and/or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  2. * Use point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders, dispense correct change, and process credit card and other payment transactions. Ensure proper procedures are followed for handling of financial transactions, including balancing bank to sales report.
  3. *Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe working environment. 
  4. *Maintain complete knowledge of venue to include menu items, beverage selections, specials, promotions, events, and policies.  
  5. Work at other venues as assigned, based on business needs.
  6. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.


  1.  A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of cash handling experience are preferred. Restaurant or food service industry experience is preferred.
  2. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred
  3. Knowledge of understanding basic salad construction and cold food preparation is preferred.
  4. The ability to successfully complete ServeSafe certifications within 90 days.
  5. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
  6. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  7. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  8. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  9. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the property for the duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases.  The facility is not smoke free.
