Slot Bench Technician

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Perform floor repair, preventive maintenance, and overhauls of all slot machines including but not limited to electrical and mechanical slot machines, in accordance with gaming regulations.
  2. *Handle initial set-up and check out of new slot machines.
  3. *Repair monitors, printed circuit boards (PCBs), electro-mechanical components (i.e., printers, bill validators), wire harnesses/connectors, and other devices as business needs arise.
  4. *Provide proper preventive maintenance training to Slot Technicians. 
  5. *Maintain parts and electronic components inventory of Bench repair area.
  6. *Assist in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times, as requested.  
  7. *Ensure knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and tribal gaming laws, and attendant regulations.  
  8. Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service to our guests.
  9. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of prior Slot Technician experience or 2 years of electronic or component repair experience are required.  An Associate’s Degree in electronics can take the place of 1 year of electronics or component repair experience. 
  2. The ability to demonstrate an understanding of AC/DC theory including the ability to identify wire color codes, resistor ratings, capacitors, transistors, transformers, ICs, etc. is required.
  3. The ability to read and comprehend electronic component symbols, blue prints, and schematic drawings. 
  4. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.  
  5. The ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner. 
  6. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.  The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.   The team member must be able to operate a personal computer.  The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.  Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.    

 

Working Conditions
The noise is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
