Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Perform all types of diagnostics and repairs to correct mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures to the component level.  Read and identify components within schematics.
  2. *Troubleshoot, install, and operate slot accounting system, slot machine operation, ticket in/ticket out system, and parts system maintenance.
  3. *Respond to repair and troubleshooting requests from slot operations and other departments.
  4. *Ensure slot machine integrity when jackpots are won and at other times as requested.
  5. *Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, and other equipment as needed.  
  6. Maintain proper documentation of repair logs and out of service logs.
  7. Perform initial verification of new software upon arrival.
  8. Perform slot machine RAM clears/key chip and set-up of options as needed. 
  9. Maintain knowledge of and ensure full compliance of federal, state, and tribal gaming laws. 
  10. Provide exceptional service to our guests and employees. 
  11. Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience as a Slot Technician or 2 years of related technician experience in a department of similar size are required.   A related Associate’s Degree or technical certification can take the place of 1 year of related technical experience. 
  2. The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency. 
  3. The ability to interpret and follow instructions from technical manuals. 
  4. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.  
  5. The ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner. 
  6. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, and move for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

 


Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
