Slot Performance Assistant Shift Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  1. *Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
  2. *Work closely with Slot Performance Shift Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of assigned shift. Directly supervise Slot Performance Technicians. Monitor overall slot machine maintenance and performance.
  3. *Oversee repair and preventive maintenance of slot machines to ensure proper function and optimal performance.
  4. *Ensure all slot machine software and hardware is in compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations, as well as company policies.
  5. *Process initial paperwork and check new, converted, and moved slot machines for audit and data processing purposes. Verify that slot machine setup is accurate.
  6. *Use custom software to review guest activity and generate data for use in department analysis and planning.
  7. *Write procedures for maintaining games, following manufacturer recommendations.
  8. Ensure slot machine integrity when jackpots occur and as requested.
  9. Assist with verifying jackpots according to federal, state and tribal gaming regulations as well as PH&C Internal Controls.
  10. Maintain strong working knowledge of local, state, federal, and tribal gaming laws and regulations.
  11. Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of Slot Technician experience or 1 year of related management experience are required.  Technical experience is preferred.
  2. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  3. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  4. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups of team members.
  5. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  6. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.  The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.   The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.  Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

 

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
