While carrying out the job duties listed below, the Compensation Specialist contributes to our continued business success by providing unsurpassed guest service, personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values, and demonstrating a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- *Provide detailed analytical support for various compensation activities and programs such as conducting statistical analysis, data modeling, and costing of pay programs, (e.g. salary planning, merit increases, structure movements, and salary range development).
- *Provide guidance to operations management regarding compensation policies and practices.
- *Review proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines and policies.
- *Evaluate jobs by ensuring that consistent, equitable, and market competitive salary treatment is maintained utilizing market salary surveys and benchmark information for market pricing analysis. Prepare results for review and approval. Retain documentation. Support market pricing strategy by participating in salary surveys.
- * Develop, update and maintain job descriptions and organizational charts for all positions in the organization.
- *Classify jobs according to exemption status regarding the overtime provision of the law, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- *Assist in administering the organization’s merit increase process.
- *Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, human resources team members, and business management throughout the organization.
- Support the Human Resources Information Specialist by maintaining Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data and generating regular and ad hoc reports, as needed.
- Perform regular quality audits of data.
- Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
