Cage Supervisor

Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
1.  *Maintain security and accountability of casino funds located in the cage areas during their shift and ensure smooth and efficient Cage operations.  
2.  *Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training Employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
3.  *Verify daily paperwork to resolve any variance errors that may arise during their shift.
4.  Address any customer inquiries or complaints and follow up with proper documentation.
5.  Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures and regulations.
6.  Other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements:

1.  High School Diploma or equivalency is required; Associates degree is preferred.
2.  Minimum of one (1) year gaming operations or finance related experience required and a minimum one (1) year management/supervisory experience, preferred.
3.  Thorough understanding of federal/state regulations related to cage operations.
4.  Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possess integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling confidential information.  
5.  Ability to communicate effectively before groups of guests or Employee of organization.
6.  Office skills, ability to use standard office equipment and computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, preferred.  
7.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.  
8.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
9.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  
10.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.   
11.  While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The Employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to operate a personal computer. The Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.  Employee must be able to lift, push, pull up to 25lbs or more with assistance. 
12.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.  When on the casino floor the noise levels increase and it is not smoke free.
