Marketing Project Coordinator

Job Description

Under the direction of the Marketing Project Manager, the Marketing Project Coordinator supports the overall marketing efforts of their assigned lines of business by coordinating and managing marketing communications projects to achieve marketing objectives.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Effectively supports sales and marketing growth targets for assigned business units. Initiates, researches, and analyzes tactical marketing opportunities and coordinates their implementation. Maintains responsibility for project workflows, schedules and milestones from concept to completion and results analysis. Develops knowledge and familiarity with assigned business units to effectively support growth initiatives.
  • Consistently attends and leads the tactical project discussion for the assigned department marketing meetings to help facilitate workflows/reviews/approvals of marketing initiatives. Specific tasks include: establishing the meeting agenda for marketing meeting, taking accurate and detailed meeting notes with action items, outcomes, due dates which are compiled and distributed as a follow-up document (Conference Report or similar document).
  • Attends Creative and Marketing Services staff meetings and communicates effectively with the Marketing Project Manager as well as the Director of Creative and Marketing Services to ensure new initiatives are consistent with overall marketing strategies.
  • Works collaboratively and proactively with internal clients on assigned businesses as well as Creative and Marketing Services staff in developing tactical business initiatives.
  • Effectively serves as a representative and ambassador for the Creative and Marketing Services group to all clients and vendors.
  • Proactively works with business managers/internal clients to determine business needs and potential opportunities.
  • Proactively works with assigned business units and staff with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

Position Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field combined with a minimum of 1-2 years related experience in business development, marketing, or sales administration field. Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in tourism or guest service preferred.
  • Experience in marketing and advertising production workflows and development cycles.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, fluent in Mac and PC environments.
  • Experience working with contemporary Project Management software platforms (Workamajig, Workfront, BaseCamp, etc). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills essential.
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License required.  Some same day travel required.
  • Ability to produce accurate documents and perform basic analysis essential.


    Position Physical Requirements:

  • Fine manipulation of the hands is required.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
