Data Quality Specialist

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Develops and implements automated data quality analysis for Enterprise Data Warehouse including but not limited to Data Quality Scoreboard.
  • Implements a data quality issue management program across the enterprise including the socialization and operationalization of the program.
  • Takes accountability for setting documentation and enforcing policies and procedures that track and ensure high data quality is created and management in alignment with business needs.
  • Develops profiling and data quality rules execution capabilities.
  • Leads the creation of defining metrics and KPIs as part of a Data Quality Scorecard.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable data privacy regulations and policies.
  • Participates in the design, build, and execution of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • Demonstrates experience in creating and maintaining strong teamwork ethic relationships, working with other IT team members to implement necessary changes, upgrades and enhancements to the systems.
  • Assists the management team in the development of philosophies, strategies and policies to support the IT mission.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or other related technical field and/or minimum equivalent experience of six or more years working in an IT environment, with 5 years with Relational Databases
  • Demonstrates strong SQL language skills including writing complex queries to analyze data
  • Experience with one or more data quality solutions, including automation of regular quality checks
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen is essential.
  • Proven track record collaborating with others within and outside your team.
