Golf Services Attendant

Job Description

  • Welcomes guests as they arrive at the course and provides excellent guest service.
  • Assists guests in removing golf bags from their vehicles and loads them on to the appropriate golf carts.
  • Ensures players’ golf clubs are clean and readily available when required.
  • Maintains the golf cart fleet ensuring that all carts are clean, washed, fueled and in good working condition.
  • Ensures that golf carts are equipped with scorecard, yardage book, sand, pencil, tees and other accessories.
  • Ensures that the cart storage area is well-maintained, organized and that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Greets guests as they complete their rounds, thoroughly cleans their golf clubs and removes bags from carts.
  • Completes the set-up of the driving range and practice areas on a daily basis and ensures that they are maintained throughout the day.
  • Routinely fills and refills on-course and driving range water stations, ensuring that drinking water is always readily available for guests.  
  • Assists with golf academy setup as required.
  • Communicates with Team Leader, Golf Professionals and/or Director of Golf on matters that need immediate attention.
  • Drives guests’ vehicles to and from the assigned parking area in an efficient, safe manner when required.     
  • Observes assigned areas for any unauthorized tampering of guests’ vehicles and immediately reports any incidents to the Team Leader and/or Security.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Some knowledge of golf is preferred.
  • Ability to work well, and communicate effectively, within a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and a variety of shifts.
  • A valid New York State driver’s license.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions


  • Must have acute speech and hearing for frequent interaction with players/guests.
  • Must have visual acuity for operation of golf carts and occasional operation of motor vehicles.
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold.
  • This position requires medium physical work – frequently exerting up to 75 pounds of force in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects such as golf bags and large baskets/bags of golf balls.
  • This position requires the following physical activities: crouching, stooping, reaching, fingering, grasping and feeling.
