Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Description

  • Works directly with vendors and internal departments to ensure all invoices are processed timely and accurately.
  • Reviews invoices to ensure merchandise has been received.  Checks accuracy of services rendered/amount due and investigates and resolves all variances.
  • Tracks all purchase orders and matches with corresponding invoices for payment.  Verifies prices on invoices against price list provided by Supply Chain Dept.
  • Enters vouchers and invoices into the accounts payable system and runs related reports.
  • Resolves all variances and requests copies of any outstanding invoices.
  • Accurately types, files, and completes other related accounting duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required.  Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is preferred and would be considered in lieu of experience. 
  • Minimum of three years accounts payable experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and AS400 (Infinium Software); position works with spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience in guest service position.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
