Slot Service Representative

Job Description

Summary:  Responsible for providing efficient service to all guests utilizing slot machines, and ensures machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation.

Shift needed:  11am to 7pm and 7pm to 3am

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Demonstrates outstanding First with Our Guests service skills consistently meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
  • Continually educates and answers guests’ questions about gaming machine functions and payouts; accurately informs guests of the benefits of the TS Rewards card and promotes the loyalty program.
  • Learns and uses guests names and preferences (particularly for frequent guests) to create personal connections and welcoming environment.
  • Constantly display a poised, professional, smiling image.
  • Enthusiastically promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all guests.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Consistently circulates in assigned areas to ensure that guests’ needs are met and that the slot machines are functioning correctly; strives to respond to guest calls in prescribed timeframe.
  • Ensures that slot machines are filled with ticket paper, so as to keep machines in constant operation.
  • Participates in jackpot payout process in accordance with internal/department control procedures when necessary.
  • Notifies Supervisor or above of any machine malfunctions.
  • Records the specifics of malfunctioning machines; documents malfunctions needing repair on malfunction slot log.
  • Notifies Supervisor or above of jackpot wins, guest disputes, guest needs and requests.
  • Notifies Supervisor or above of any suspicious activity on slot machines.
  • Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with slot technicians and other staff on the gaming floor to meet guests’ needs.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of slot floor by clearing empty cups, bottles, glasses, trash and other debris and ashtrays and pushes in slot chairs.
  • Enforces safety rules by reporting or removing safety hazards as well as reporting guests who are underage, intoxicated, disruptive, injured or ill.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in a previous experience in a guest service position preferred. Position requires constant interaction with guests.
  • Previous experience working in with slots or basic playing knowledge preferred.
  • Must possess basic math skills, previous money handling experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required; must be able to operate program that verifies wins and prints W2Gs.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Reading and writing ability required; must be able to read and complete standard forms.
  • Constant standing, walking with ability to move quickly through crowded areas.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Adapts quickly to changes and maintains a positive, upbeat approach.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays, and have flexibility in scheduling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
