Buffet Service Bartender

Job Description

  • Ensures beer, soda and paper products are appropriately stocked.  Ensures that bar area is supplied with menu items.
  • Properly washes all bar dishes used during assigned shift.
  • Consistently keeps bar area clean. Cleans top of bar and polishes stainless steel on a regular basis.  Always maintains department’s safety/sanitation standards.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of locations of all required items (bagels-cafeteria, drink mixers-warehouse).  Retrieves required items as needed.
  • Leaves area clean and stocked before going on break and prior to shift end.
  • Completes assigned side work.
  • Always sorts and separates recyclable and deposit bottles.  Places all recyclable items in proper crates.
  • Always immediately notifies Supervisor of any broken equipment or problems with the bar areas or storage rooms.
  • Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills, assisting Beverage staff as required by business needs.
  • Consistently maintains an awareness of promotional events and shows.
  • Always enters drink orders into the P.O.S. system in an organized and accurate method.
  • Always follows department training standards. (i.e.: clean-as-you-go, re-check guest, etc.).
  • Ensures coffee cups are cleaned and placed in the de-limer.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must possess the ability to count money and make correct change.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to ring in orders and settle checks on Point of Sale system.
  • Previous Food & Beverage bartender experience a plus.
  • Previous alcohol beverage service preferred.

Position Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
