Bingo Floor Clerk

Job Description

The Bingo Floor Clerk provides service to 100-125 guests per session.  The Floor Clerk is responsible for selling bingo cards throughout the session ensuring equal coverage of their assigned area and accurately paying out winners.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the Bingo Program and consistently displays thorough knowledge of all upcoming special Bingo and monthly calendar events and relays this information to all guests.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of all positions in the Bingo hall, and how they interact with each other.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the electronic Bingo system.
  • Always sells Bingo cards to guests in assigned section (unless otherwise specified).
  • Consistently ensures that assigned area is clean after each session.  Assists other Bingo Team Members with cleaning their section only after his/her section is finished.
  • Ensures that tables and chairs are kept straight and orderly, knows entire layout of Bingo floor.
  • Understands the importance of accuracy and in doing so has limited variances.  Always informs Supervisor of any variances at the end of the shift.
  • Maintains equal coverage of entire assigned section throughout shift.  Avoids "bunching" in the aisles with other Clerks.
  • Always avoids counting money or cards on the Bingo floor and only obtains change and extra cards from the Money Room Clerks.
  • Always avoids selling Bingo cards or verifying winning cards for relatives or close friends.
  • Accurately performs pay outs in a timely manner as required by the Bingo operation.
  • Always counts back monies aloud received from guests.
  • Assists with yelling Bingo after hearing a guest to ensure the game is stopped.
  • Always counts aloud and in plain view of camera monies received from Paymaster

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required.
  • Previous experience or Bingo knowledge preferred.
  • Mathematical ability essential; must be able to accurately account for large amounts of cash.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English, constant interaction with guests.
  • Must be able to communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy regarding events and information.
  • Must possess reading ability; explains programs, calendars, receipts and rules to guests.
  • Written communication required; must be able to fill out manual forms on a daily basis.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation of the hand functions.
  • Occasionally required lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to move safely through and around crowds of people in close quarters.
