Casino Promotions Coordinator

Job Description

  1. Participates in the planning and execution of Casino Marketing Promotions at Yellow Brick Road Casino and Point Place Casino, under the direction of the Casino Promotions Manager.
  2. Acts as Host and/or MC for casino events as required.
  3. Conducts winners’ announcements as promotional announcements as required.
  4. Ensures the installation, maintenance and coordination of property signage and decorations for themed events.
  5. Orders and coordinates delivery of posters, banners, etc., for casino promotions and events.
  6. Coordinates the process of procurement and other paperwork related to finalizing details for casino promotions.
  7. Continually demonstrates effective judgment in the handling of player conflicts and takes appropriate action in fielding player inquiries.
  8. Communicates with applicable departments and enterprises by providing departments with written information regarding events and promotions in a timely manner.
  9. Helps create, maintain, and execute all necessary policies, procedures, rules and regulations needed for all casino promotions
  10. Effectively coordinates all prizes needed for promotions and events to include cash payouts, automobiles, giveaways, etc.
  11. Maintains various prize logs, pro formas and other related records for all casino promotions.
  12. Provides accurate paperwork and information regarding promotions and events to Gaming Commission, Legal and other related departments.
  13. Always maintains a positive and professional relationship with coworkers, players and vendors.
  14. Provides a detailed overview on each event.
  15. Hold pre- and post- event meetings to enhance future events.
  16. Is conscientious of budgets and appropriate spending.
  17. Supports the Casino Marketing and Player Services departments as needed.

Job Requirements

  1. College degree or some level of secondary education in business, marketing or related field is required.
  2. Previous experience in event planning or promotions required.  Must have previous special events/promotions coordinating experience.  Creative/artistic ability preferred.
  3. Must be comfortable speaking before large crowds.
  4. Above average verbal and written communication skills required.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and PowerPoint preferred.
  6. Must possess outstanding guest service skills.
  7. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
  8. The ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently and on time is required.
  9. Must be flexible to work evening hours, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
  10. Must be able to work well independently.
