Cage Cashier - Chittenango

Job Description

 Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Demonstrates an understanding of completing front line transactions by accurately cashing in chips, payroll checks, personal checks (sets up account when required), comchecks, markers, consolidates markers, redeem/sell gift certificates and exchanges foreign currency.
  • Always maintains an awareness of manual operating procedures for completing                routine transactions.
  • Redeems slot tickets for cash.
  • Performs "buy bank" procedures by verifying that all currency, chips, paperwork, and pull-tabs have been accurately counted.  Always counts money, checks paperwork, performs turn-ins and counts pull-tabs.   
  • Ensures appropriate procedures are followed for the signing of cash drawers as well as performs even exchanges, drops and ensures accuracy while completing applicable transactions.
  • Accurately sells and redeems chips to and from guests.
  • Efficiently ensures Poker Dealers and Chip Runners are adequately supplied with the appropriate chip supply.
  • Adheres to all procedures and controls associated with Class II Poker operations.
  • Ensures balancing procedures and appropriate paperwork has been completed and submitted for supervisor confirmation at shift end.
  • Is always aware of the importance of transactions performed accurately and is conscientious of repetitive procedures and the effect accuracy has on shift end balancing.
  • Is always aware of the importance of guest service and with working with other Team Members and demonstrates such by always completing Guest/Team Member transactions as accurately and efficiently as possible.
  • Always follows department procedures by reviewing all paperwork for appropriate signatures, time stamping and for entries into the computer.

Job Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications:
               

  • High School Diploma/High School Equivalency Diploma; or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must possess the ability to complete multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Gaming or Cage Operations preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of computers and various types of software.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Must have previous money handling experience.
