Cocktail Server

Job Description

  • Always promptly checks for assigned work area before beginning of shift.
  • Consistently keeps tray set up with ashtrays, straws, napkins, etc.
  • Completely services assigned work area by changing ashtrays, taking drink orders, serving drinks, removing empty cups, pushing in chairs and completing assigned side work.
  • Always uses service areas for beverage service only. Avoids spending non-productive time in service areas. Utilizes assigned service bar.
  • Always maintains work area in service bar by loading and unloading service-ware properly, cleaning up spills and keeping the counter orderly.
  • Notifies Supervisor or appropriate employee of any deficiencies in the work area including full garbage cans and out of stock items.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of entire beverage and food menu including service procedure and pricing.
  • Adheres to the break schedule, remaining in the assigned area until relief is present. Consistently leaves assigned area in an orderly fashion when going on breaks and at end of shift.
  • Is consistently willing to perform additional services for guests (cigarettes, coat check, etc.).
  • Is consistently aware of maintaining safety/sanitation standards as outlined by the F&B department.
  • Always follows department training standards (i.e. clean-as-you-go, e-check guest).

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must possess the ability to count money and make correct change.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to ring in orders and settle checks on Point of Sale system.
  • Previous Food & Beverage server experience a plus.
