Job Description

  • Continually demonstrates the ability to produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner.
  • Follows all approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of assisting in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste.  Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of sanitation procedures and consistently applies such.
  • Understands the importance of proper food handling procedures and ensures that procedures are followed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to properly use kitchen equipment while ensuring the highest safety standards.
  • Always properly identifies and stores product specific to outlet and always takes an active role in quality control of all food items.
  • Is always familiar with all product/inventory in freezers and coolers, and assists in ensuring that all product/inventory are properly rotated to maintain freshness.
  • Ensures that all hand skill techniques involving specific culinary utensils (knives, peeler, etc.) are applied while consistently following documented safety standards.
  • Continually demonstrates the ability to keep work station organized and produces required quantity according to demands of station.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.  Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a steamer, fryer, oven, etc.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English; interactions with guests and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment essential.

 

Position Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Position requires constant bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, standing, walking, simple grasping, manual dexterity, reaching over the shoulder and twisting.
