Job Title:   Manager, Risk, Environment of Care & Safety
Oklahoma Heart Hospital
Risk Management

This position develops a Risk and Environment of Care Program, Life Safety & Emergency Management, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and employees at both campuses.  Participates in defined and established meetings of the hospital's corporate leaders and with other managerial leaders.  Implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and make recommendations for improvement in the quality of care, treatment and services.

This position fosters a safe environment throughout the hospital by integrating safety priorities into all relevant hospital processes, functions, and services.  Ensures that systems are designed to support effective responses to actual occurrences including intensive analysis of near misses as well as serious adverse events.

This position directs the organization’s safety programs at both campuses to protect employees and the company against harm, and maintain safe working conditions.  Formulates and suggests work safety standards, and enforces procedures.  Risk prevention areas include hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fires, life safety, emergency management or other unsafe conditions.  Meets compliance and reporting requirements of federal or state regulations and advises management on problem corrections.


Education: Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.

Licensure/Certification: State licensed as a Registered Nurse.

Experience: Minimum of five years nursing experience in an acute care setting with experience in safety, programs and environment of care standards.
