Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides short-term focused treatment in the Outpatient Department to individuals, couples, and families.
  1. Provides acute assessment of patients in the Emergency Room and Walk-In Clinic under the supervision of the Program Director and back-up psychiatrist.
  1. Provides intensive outpatient care for recently discharged patients.
  1. Provides documentation of care in coordination with clinic requirements.
  1. Provides supervision, training and instruction.
  1. Maintains an active caseload, which results in clinical interventions comprising 75% of worked hours.
 

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

1.LICSW, Ph.D., or Ed.D. 

2.Independently licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

3.Three years post-licensure experience providing acute and non-acute assessments of patients in both a crisis and non-crisis setting preferred.

4.Three years experience providing individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy.

5.Ability to provide psychiatric treatment utilizing short-term, focused therapy.

6.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other hospital departments.

7.Strong organizational skills.
