JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB SUMMARY
The dual rate position acts as a Hard/Soft Count clerk or Drop Crew member, as well as a supervisor two days per week.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 

CLERK DUTIES
 

  • Opens drop boxes from each table game using drop box key and empties contents (including game openers and closers) onto count table where money chips are sorted, bundled and stacked. 
  • Counts currency found in slot machine bill acceptor boxes.
  • Completes the Master Game Report and reports each game’s win/loss. 
  • Turns the counted revenue and Master Game Report over to the director of casino cage operations or cage shift manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies. 
 

  • Assist in section, training and evaluation of employees.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Provide management with accurate and timely financial information.
  • Work and supervise in Count Room where cash drop information is uploaded into the audit system electronically.
  • Supervise and work with “Glory” and “Cummins” currency counting equipment.
  • Assist and supervise in coordinating implementation of control procedures. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
 
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.  Ability to read and analyze information detailing assets, liabilities and capital, and prepare P&L statements.  Basic knowledge of accounting practices and principles.  Skill in the use of PC and related software applications.  Competent in the use of computer spreadsheets, database and mainframe applications in a Windows environment.  Knowledge of federal and state tax laws.  Ability to understand and process complex paperwork.  Personal and communication skills.  Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff.  Worked with Cummins coin counting equipment.  1 year experience working at a casino that has greater than 1000 slot machines that currency acceptors (BVD).  3 years in soft or currency count room (including slot drop form currency acceptors.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.  One year of previous supervisory experience is required.
