SUPERVISOR - CASH OPERATIONS
Oversee Shift Activities including cashier transaction verifications, scheduling, compliance with all Internal Controls, Title 31 Compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Give additional training to cash operations personnel who need further instruction regarding balancing and/or other policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as requested by the Cash Operations department manager.
Functions as general cashier or specialty banker, based upon business demands, ability and experience.
Maintain the accountability of the cashiers’ cage in accordance with company’s internal controls and requirements of the Gaming Commission on Accounting and Internal controls.
Responsible for receiving cash, cash equivalents, personal checks cashed for non-gaming purposes and gaming chips in return for cash. Process credit card advances.
Process and payout large jackpots.
Responsible for the redemption and consolidation of counter checks, maintaining accountability of counter checks after issuance and transfer to the cashiers’ cage and maintaining inventory of gaming chips and coins used on gaming tables.
Handle transactions involving patrons at the front counter.
Train newly hired Cash Operations Cashier and personnel. Supervise record keeping for variances and attendance, able to work a window or vault as needed, coaching and counseling of cashiers as needed.
Good working knowledge of all cash operations cashiering functions, procedures and policies. Must have computer knowledge in the following programs: Word, Excel and at least 2 years of cash operations experience including Frontline, Employee window, and Vault experience. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Strong math and money-handling skills are a necessity. Good interpersonal skills are a necessity. Must possess a high regard for customer service and employee relations. Good oral and written skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Two years casino main cage cashiering experience strongly preferred.
