COOK II - SERRANO RESTAURANT
This position is responsible for the preparation of appetizers, soups, sandwiches, sauces and entrees of a medium complexity for an American Menu.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Cut and dice meats and vegetables.
Read food order tickets in English.
Prepare entrees, cook sauces and deep fry foods.
Cook buffet style and utilizing woks.
Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the F&B Department.
Restock all items as needed throughout shift.
Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
Skill in professional cooking, knife handling skills, and preparing a variety of foods. Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies and materials.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant and effective working relationship with staff and guests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED is required, plus 2-3 years of experience in a Cook III (or position with similar responsibilities).
