Security Manager - LAX (FT)

It is the primary responsibility of the Security Manager to manage all operations for the assigned outlet. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures. <ul> <li> Oversee nightclub security operations to ensure all procedures and protocols are documented and fulfilled.</li> <li> Assure nightclub policies/procedures and compliance standards are strictly enforced.</li> <li> Work closely with local, state and federal Law Enforcement Agencies.</li> <li> Work closely with the Safety department to make sure all certifications and training requirements are completed in a timely manner.</li> <li> Oversee that all department security reports are closed correctly in a timely manner for Investigations and Risk Management.</li> <li> Maintain accurate records of all disciplines.</li> <li> Maintain Security Shift Liaison with Surveillance Management.</li> <li> Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and the property.</li> <li> Manage and monitors fiscal budget, operations, and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for the property.</li> <li> Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.</li> <li> Provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure the property's competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic nightclub, hospitality and gaming environment.</li> <li> Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company's diversity commitment; adherence to the company's status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.</li> <li> Act on behalf of the Director of Nightclub during their absence.</li> <li> Responsible for all reports and investigations completed during their shift to ensure accuracy and completeness of all reports and investigations.</li> <li> Responsible for determining when outside emergency services are to respond to property.</li> <li> Responsible for making all required notifications during major incidents, which include but are not limited to, major crimes on property, bomb threats, serious injury to employees or guests or any incident where notifications are required to be made.</li> <li> Performs all other job related duties as requested.</li> </ul>
<p> <strong>Required: </strong></p> <ul> <li> At least 3 years of experience in a Security position.</li> <li> At least 2 years of experience working in a lead or supervisory capacity.</li> <li> At least 1 year of experience in a Nightclub Security Supervisory role.</li> <li> Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.</li> <li> Ability to access all areas of the facility and travel off property as needed.</li> <li> Ability to inspect and ensure proper use of equipment.</li> <li> Ability to perceive emergency or distress signals.</li> <li> Attention to detail, effective listening abilities, strong judgment skills, strong leadership qualities, effective decision-making and problem solving skills.</li> <li> Excellent customer service skills.</li> <li> Ability to lead and mentor a team.</li> <li> Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.</li> <li> Professional appearance and demeanor.</li> <li> Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.</li> <li> Working knowledge of PC Software programs (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).</li> <li> High School diploma or equivalent.</li> <li> Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li> Bachelor Degree in related field.</li> <li> Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.</li> </ul>
