JOB DESCRIPTION:
It is the primary responsibility of the Systems Manager to provide courteous, accurate and timely technical support to clients (business to business) and employees, and maintain various Multimedia hardware and software systems.
  • Provide hardware/software technical support for Apple devices running Mac OS 10.6 - 10.8+, OS X Server 10.6 - 10.8+, XSAN 2, iOS 6, FileMaker Server/Client 12+, and digital signage solutions.
  • Provide technical support via telephone, email or on-site for clients and employees.
  • Perform problem coordination for major IT problems and issues.
  • Communicate and manage hierarchical and functional escalations.
  • Lead projects as assigned by department Director.
  • Ability to communicate directly with staff, managers, and clients while leading projects to a completed and successful solution.
  • Train and educate employees on the latest software and hardware technologies.
  • Document problems, troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-demanding, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to maintain composure and client-service focus in stressful situations.
  • Maintain and provide documentation and cross training for end users.
  • Assist in yearly operational budget planning.
  • Organize and maintain Multimedia Services archives and libraries.
  • Fully understand department job processes and procedures.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills with Apple based hardware/software.
  • Strong knowledge of Mac OS X Server/Client, Apache/MySQL/PHP, CLI, FileMaker. Server/Client, Open/Active Directory, Apple Remote Desktop, system imaging, log files, iOS, Adobe Creative Suite (support/install/troubleshoot), etc.
  • Strong knowledge of shell scripting, writing/editing plist and config files.
  • Strong knowledge of Mac OS X, BSD Unix CLI.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate file formats.
  • General understanding and application of graphic design for print, web and video.
  • Experience providing IT support in a Mac business/enterprise or education environment.
  • General Windows-based troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Conceptual understanding of web-based systems architecture, basic IP networking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organization skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines with particular attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • At least 3 or more years of experience supporting Apple hardware/software.
  • An Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
