Job Title:   Gallery Representative

It is the primary responsibility of the Art Gallery Representative to actively assist guests with Art Gallery information, ticketing and retail services, while providing the highest level of customer service.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with the Department/Property policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Welcomes and greets guests upon arrival to Art Gallery; maintains a positive and knowledgeable demeanor with guests.
  • Provides guests with prompt, accurate and courteous assistance and information regarding BGFA and exhibitions.
  • Actively assists guests with ticket and membership sales, and properly operates ticketing system for transactions.
  • Actively assists guests with BGFA gift shop merchandise, and properly operates retail system for transactions.
  • Conducts professional and informative guided tours of current exhibition as required.
  • Sell and process admission tickets, annual memberships and gallery merchandise.
  • Clearly and politely explain and enforce all gallery rules to visitors.
  • Orient visitors to gallery exhibitions and interactive elements as needed.
  • Operate Archtics ticketing system and printers for ticketing sales.
  • Operate Infogenesis retail system for gallery merchandise sales.
  • Reconcile cash and charges from ticket sales and merchandise sales daily.
  • Open or close Gallery Ticket Office as required.
  • Collect guest information for gallery mailing lists.
  • Under the direction of Gallery Manager, assist with will-call tickets, third party wholesalers, and phone sales.
  • Actively participate in BGFA efforts to achieve membership and revenue goals as set by management.
  • Under the direction of Gallery Manager, engage guests with informative and professional tours of the gallery's current exhibition.
  • Under the direction of Gallery Manager, conduct school group tours of exhibition as required.
  • Provides leadership in execution and measurement of guest service standards within department consistent with the company's core service standard and brand attitudes.
  • Attend all staff and departmental meetings as required by managements and participate in departmental initiatives as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.



  • At least 6 months of cash handling experience.
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with PC computer systems and software, telephone systems and office equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 


  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
  • Knowledge of MICROFLEX.
  • Previous experience using Infogenisis POS.
  • Previous experience using Archtics POS.
