<ul> <li> Creates journal entries for daily/ weekly/ monthly/ yearly posting.</li> <li> Data entry into various systems.</li> <li> Generate reports from various source systems.</li> <li> Prepare disbursements, deposits and wires.</li> <li> Prepare vendor related tasks (journal entries, payments, receivables).</li> <li> Prepare tasks related to fixed assets as needed by management.</li> <li> Perform operations related tasks (utilities, commissions, etc.)</li> <li> Prepare and maintain various Excel spreadsheets.</li> <li> Complete functions related to month end close.</li> <li> Participate in ad-hoc and special project functions</li> <li> Audit daily work for integrity and report any discrepancies to management.</li> <li> Prepare reconciliations for source systems and balance sheet accounts.</li> <li> Performs other job related duties as assigned.</li> </ul>

<p> <strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li> At least 2 or more years financial accounting/ general ledger.</li> <li> Demonstrate organizational skills to function effectively while still maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.</li> <li> Ability to work in a high stress fast paced environment managing multiple tasks, projects and personnel simultaneously. Ability to prioritize conflicting duties and maintain timeline integrity for projects and tasks.</li> <li> Demonstrate high levels of motivation and be eager to learn, while being willing to work flexible schedule.</li> <li> Ability to effectuate directives at detailed level.</li> <li> Excellent communication skills and demonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.</li> <li> Have well developed written, verbal and public presentation communication skills.</li> <li> Flexibility and ability to work within a fast growth environment with changing priorities.</li> <li> Successful participation in the development of a process improvement or automation project.</li> <li> Knowledge of general accounting principles, accounting practices and theories.</li> <li> Flexible in work environment (will be required to work in different locations based on job needs).</li> <li> Excellent customer services skills.</li> <li> Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.</li> <li> Professional appearance and demeanor.</li> <li> Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.</li> <li> High School diploma or equivalent.</li> <li> Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point, Word and Adobe software), including constructing spreadsheets, use of formulas and formatting.</li> <li> Experience with use of financial mainframe applications including ability to import and export data to and from mainframe applications and Microsoft programs.</li> <li> Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li> At least 2 or more years Gaming industry experience.</li> <li> Experience in a hotel/casino environment in an auditing or finance area.</li> <li> Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.</li> <li> Knowledge and experience with MGM Resorts International financial systems (Infinium, AS400, Showcase Strategy, Cognos Finance, Cognos Bi, ACL, Report Manager).</li> <li> Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.</li> </ul>
