Responsible for performing the work delegated by the Systems Manager for the design, development, and the distribution of Enterprise Planning budget models, financial statements, audit packages, budget reports and the daily operating report system, insuring the systems and reports effectively generate and present accurate information.
Responsible for the support and troubleshooting of the system and reports, as delegated by the manager, that are generated from Cognos Finance, the finance data repository (FDR) and Infinium AS400 system. Includes maintaining and modifying the FDR Cognos 8 framework and insuring that the reports and supporting queries are efficient and well organized in accordance with the policies and procedures that govern the work.
Critically evaluate and document the business requirements for new reports and research tools, effectively translating business needs into the technical specifications. Review finished products with the people using the report to insure their needs were correctly identified and fulfilled.
Create and maintain clear and well written documentation for the systems, processes and reports that the financial services department supports.
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the SharePoint site used for distributing reports information in accordance with policies and procedures that govern the tasks to be performed.
Integrate and support collaborative initiatives between the corporate strategy, financial services and information technology departments. Participate and support project management efforts for those initiatives. Complete special projects as requested.
Assist with the administration and maintenance of the planning and reporting applications used within MGM Resorts.
Demonstrates professionalism and enthusiasm when handling requests for information and reports.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education level associated with the attainment of a Bachelor Degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience.
Able to learn and use electronic system tools to improve process, mine data, extract and report.
Familiar with relational and multi-dimensional database structures and schemas, database concepts and writing SQL queries.
Able to work in a fluid, dynamic and fast paced environment.
Have effective decision-making skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to research and solve problems with minimal help.
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers; interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of financial computer systems and personal computer software programs such as Infinium, SQL, and Access.
Advanced working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) including advanced calculations/functions and required skills to built spreadsheets.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Proficiency with Cognos applications.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
