  • Answer Global Distribution System (GDS) /travel agent helpdesk phone calls, route travel agent help desk calls to properties as necessary, and track and analyze help desk requests.
  • Review all GDS queues, resolving any issues that do not require property responses.
  • Move property queue messages to property specific queues and notify property GDS specialist of those messages.
  • Maintain current and new account relationships as it pertains to Electronic Distribution and Channel Technology.
  • Train new and replacement property Sales and Operations specialists in systems pertaining to Rate and Distribution systems and procedures.
  • Administration of logins and passwords for Lanyon and other channel vendor systems.
  • Maintain and publish chain level Direct Reference System (DRS) information.
  • Review, edit and publish property Hotel Display (HOD) information to each GDS.
  • Publish and maintain Onward Distribution Database (ODD) and ADS hotel descriptions and images.
  • Create new rates in each GDS when necessary.
  • Work directly with interface designers (internal and external) for modification and delivery of functionality corrections for ORS/PMS interfaces.
  • Maintain corporate standards for rate codes, source codes, market segment codes, etc.
  • Maintain channel code conversion tables and channel management in Opera.
  • Regression and new functionality testing of all Opera upgrades and e-patches as it pertains to ORS, GDS, ADS, and EDS.
  • Coordinate process to approve and maintain data for non-IATA travel agents.
  • Monitor status of data interfaces (i.e. OXI HUB), notifying appropriate party upon errors.
  • Clearing house for marketing program approvals (e.g. IATA list usage, photography/imagery updates, etc.).
  • Ability to create and implement Service Level Agreement (SLA) for marketing programs.
  • Participate in the creation, testing, and implementation of direct connectivity to currently manual EDS vendors via Opera.
  • Facilitates the conversion of current or future properties to Opera ORS for GDS, ADS, and EDS when necessary.
  • Other tasks as required by MGM Resorts International Hotel Sales, Marketing & Distribution and Application Support.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned. 



  • Have Hotel Reservation and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) data management experience.
  • Have completed training in all four Global Distribution Systems (GDSs).
  • Completed Lanyon training.
  • Experience managing GDS and ADS rates and availability.
  • Ability to edit and correct property descriptions and chain level policies, maintaining a specified corporate policy and image.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and teamwork skills.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight timelines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.                     
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team. 
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to use multiple systems as supplied by various channels.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


  •  Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
