  • Assists employees with question and concerns related to benefits, payroll and employee relations and answer department phones.
  • Reviews all leave of absence paperwork for accuracy.
  • Communicates with department managers on employee matters.
  • Reviews all counseling notices and ensure consistency with all policies and procedures.
  • Assists with all unemployment claims and associated paperwork.
  • Updates the employee relations log with new cases and information.
  • Maintains employee relations and department files.
  • Performs all duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.



  • At least 1 year of experience in the Human Resources field.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette, as well as scanning, faxing and copying capabilities.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Must have organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
  • Must possess the ability to read and evaluate written material, maintain the physical & mental stamina to multi-task and meet targeted deadlines, access all areas of the facility, and maintain the manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard and/or be seated at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills when dealing with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to MGM Resorts International standards.
  • Must possess the ability to enforce the organization’s policies, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Bilingual; preferably in Spanish.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
