Assists employees with question and concerns related to benefits, payroll and employee relations and answer department phones.
Reviews all leave of absence paperwork for accuracy.
Communicates with department managers on employee matters.
Reviews all counseling notices and ensure consistency with all policies and procedures.
Assists with all unemployment claims and associated paperwork.
Updates the employee relations log with new cases and information.
Maintains employee relations and department files.
Performs all duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.
At least 1 year of experience in the Human Resources field.
Must possess excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette, as well as scanning, faxing and copying capabilities.
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Must have organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
Must possess the ability to read and evaluate written material, maintain the physical & mental stamina to multi-task and meet targeted deadlines, access all areas of the facility, and maintain the manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard and/or be seated at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills when dealing with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to MGM Resorts International standards.
Must possess the ability to enforce the organization’s policies, practices and procedures.

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Bilingual; preferably in Spanish.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
