Set and reset tables before, during and after service periods.
Pour water, serve bread, replace condiments and some side-items as necessary.
Stack and stock side stations, with dry goods, extra-china settings and silverware.
Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Buff/polish glass and silverware where necessary.
Set up and break down side stations before and after service.
Pre-bus and bus tables during service period.
Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods.
Load/unload linens when necessary.
Bid farewell to guests, using the guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return.
Work as a team, assist with all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries.
Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division and department.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Maintain complete knowledge of guest room numbers/names and locations, hours of operation and proper table/tray set ups.
Replenish wares in side stations throughout shift.
Complete closing duties as assigned.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
At least 3 years of experience as a Busperson in a similar gourmet service environment.
Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
Ability to use standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators/coolers, slicers, bread knives, beverage machines.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic and willing to learn.
Ability to follow directions and make quick decisions while keeping organized under pressure.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
