  • Maintains departmental standards and current knowledge of  MGM Resorts International.
  • Assists guests with booking room reservations. 
  • Assists guests with a variety of needs and requests.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Provides helpful assistance and information to guests as outlined in departmental policy and procedures.
  • Projects a friendly, pleasant and cordial demeanor; provide efficient “Grand Class Service” to all potential and existing customers, fellow employees, and management.
  • Notifies supervisors/management of all irregularities, customer problems, or related areas of difficulty.
  • Completes other department tasks such as entertainment reservations, group reservations, etc…
  • Assumes responsibility for all aspects after the contract for the group is signed.
  • Monitors and enforces “pick-up”, “cutoff” dates, and arrival and departure patterns of group blocks to prevent overselling and maximize revenue.
  • Works closely with other management/department heads to ensure all pertinent guest information is communicated and followed-up on to avoid possible service shortfalls.
  • Organizes all paperwork for each convention group that comes to the hotel and holds all information regarding the groups stay.
  • Communicates with service and sales managers if guest want to add rooms or request a different rate.
  • When the group checks into the hotel, becomes the go to person for their entire stay.
  • Submits the room reservations list, verifies all group information and stays in contact with the representative of the group until they arrive.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • At least 1 year work experience in a guest service position required, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Possess excellent guest service skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


  • Prior telephone reservation experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
