Responsible for the physical aspects of kitchen operation.
Supervision of kitchen personnel.
Preparation and serving of food.
Food and labor cost control.
Exceeding guests’ expectations as far as food quality and presentation are concerned.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
At least 5 years experience in high volume restaurant production, preferably in a hotel/casino environment.
At least 2 years experience as a supervisor.
Possess advanced knife skills.
Extensive knowledge of F&B preparation and presentation.
Extensive knowledge of large production kitchen equipment.
Basic mathematical skills.
Organizational skills to plan time effectively and work without direct supervision.
Handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
Possess the ability to access all areas of the restaurant, the ability to move frequently and freely about facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items.
Able to work in close quarters or small rooms and occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid condition and work environmental factors include noise, dust, and smoke.
Excellent customer service skills.
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
An Associate’s Degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
