JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Set and reset tables before, during and after service periods.
  • Stock all areas based upon shift assignment with supplies necessary for service.
  • Set up and break down stations before and after service.
  • Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Assist fountain workers with set up of stations as necessary.
  • Buff/polish glass and silverware where necessary.
  • Pre-bus and bus tables during service period.
  • Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of back areas and all storage areas.
  • Load/unload linens when necessary.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using the guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return.
  • Work as a team, assist with all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
  • Must adhere to Starbucks Standards and Company Standards.
  • Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division and department.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of guest room numbers/names and locations, hours of operation and proper set up for stations.
  • Replenish stations throughout shift.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related job duties as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Busperson in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to use standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators/coolers, slicers, bread knives, beverage machines.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic and be a willing learner.
  • Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 

 Preferred:

  •  Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
