Fire Command Dispatch

Closes out work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Tracks open work orders.
Runs requested CMMS reports and weekly departmental maintenance reports concerning project information, as required.
Monitors the life safety system for fire alarms and other abnormal conditions. Implements emergency response procedures, as necessary, dispatching appropriate personnel and contacting the Fire Department. During fire alarm conditions, carries out requests of the Fire Department in the emergency operation of smoke removal systems, HVAC systems, voice evacuation systems, emergency generators, and elevators.
Researches, analyzes and coordinates projects in support with all dispatch initiatives.
Prepares a variety of weekly, monthly, and annual reports required for financial reporting.
Performs ad hoc analysis reporting as requested.
Performs research on departmental issues as requested, including trend logs.
Analyzes monthly departmental maintenance costs to assure that they are received in finance in a timely manner.
Analyzes all weekly reports so all engineering departments are kept current.
Ensures all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.
Works closely with the FCC Dispatcher Lead in the coordination of all dispatch projects.
Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with all departments within Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
Works under minimal supervision, completing assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned/required.
At least 1 year experience in at least one of the following: computerized maintenance management system, building automation system operation, fire alarm system operation, computerized dispatching with heavy radio, telephone volume, or other equivalent work experience.
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail.
Ability to read and evaluate written material.
Ability to use a microphone and speak over a public address system while reading emergency announcements in a calm and confident voice.
Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees with courtesy and tactfulness, while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Good working knowledge of basic office equipment, including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
