It is the primary responsibility of the Front Desk Clerk is to sell and assign rooms, register guests, determine credit, render bills, receive cash and credit payments and provide excellent guest service through telephone and in person. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Gold Strike policies, practices, and procedures. Specific Job Functions: • Sells and assigns rooms.
Receives cash and credit payments.
Provides guest service.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Previous cash handling experience.
Physical ability to access all areas of the facility and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling.
Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke.
Excellent customer service skills.
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
At least 6 month continuous guest service experience.
Previous Front Desk experience in a hotel/resort.
Previous data entry experience.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
