Perform all side work duties assigned and maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant within the health code standards.
Work as a team, assisting all guests and employees needs and inquiries.
Greet owners and guests with warm smile, maintain eye contact, and communicate in a professional and pleasant demeanor.
Adhere to strict services standards and follow established service sequences.
Ensure all machines are cleaned properly according to instruction and filled with product and alert supervisor of any equipment that is not working properly
Assist the by cleaning and resetting work area and tables.
Stock towels in work area with proper concentration of sanitizing solution.
Set up carts for the removal of dishware from the dining area.
Ensure separation of china, glasses and silver, and place each in its respective area upon entering dishwashing area.
Ensure bus tubs are kept level and not filled to overflowing with glassware and dishware.
Keep silverware polished and portable areas stocked; polish steak knives and crab shell crackers and distribute into portables for dinner shift.
Stock towels in pool area and hand out to hotel guests.
Treat all owners, guests and visitors with maximum courtesy.
Attend training and retain knowledge covered in sessions.
Notify manager on duty of any guest concerns or disputes that cannot be readily resolved.
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Maintain composure with difficult owners and guests in demanding situations.
May serve food or beverages, or provide other dining services, at banquets and other group events held at the property.
Maintain an organized, clean and presentable environment.
Pour water, serve bread, replace condiments and some side-items as necessary.
Buff / polish glass and silverware where necessary.
Stack and stock side stations, with dry goods, extra-china settings and silverware.
Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods.
Load / unload linens when necessary.
Bid farewell to guests, using the guests name when known, and encourage them to return.
Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
Preform other job related duties as assigned.
At least 1 year of related food and beverage experience, preferably with handling large trays.
Working knowledge of food and beverage service.
Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
