  • Provides the highest level of guest service that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Greets all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensures guest safety while in the pool or on the pool deck by monitoring the pool area at all times.
  • Responds to all situations safely and promptly.
  • Ensures that all pool guests are Moorea beach club guests.
  • Cleans pool deck area of cups, trash and towels regularly.
  • Ensures that area is stocked with towels and supplies.
  • Reports all guest and employee situations to Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintains a strong level of physical conditioning.
  • Informs management of needed supplies or equipment related issues.
  • Follows all service standards and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure beverage/bottle set-up and clear tables in cooperation with the Lounge/VIP Bottle Server.  
  • Communicate with the Lounge/VIP Bottle Server.
  • Responsible for communication between the lounge and bartenders.
  • Set up the room for Guest Event Orders to specifications along with maintaining food areas and serving food.
  • Preform other job related duties as assigned.



  • Have an extensive beverage and culinary arts knowledge including experience with bottle service and private events.
  • Have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public.
  • Equipment knowledge/use skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, with particular attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone to deal effectively with business contacts, management, employees, and guests.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills, good public relations skills with a good personality enjoying opportunities to work with and assist people.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, vendors and employees while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Stand and move freely throughout the pool area with the ability to work outdoors in seasonal heat or cold as well as inclement weather.
  • Able to serve guests in a warm, accommodating, professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction.
  • Able to organize, work without direct supervision, have a strong sense of urgency, multi-task, remain calm while working in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items. Ability to carry, pull and maintain lounge chairs as well as other pool deck equipment such as towel bins.  May occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions as well as exposure to loud noise, dust air conditioning and smoke.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. 


  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume lounge.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
