Maintenance Engineer - Kitchen
21 and over
Performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property.
Recognizes equipment that needs repairs, adjustments, or replacement.
Responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Maintains equipment and logbooks.
Ensures that all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.
Keeps informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods.
Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
Advises Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property.
Performs assigned duties during emergencies.
Performs other related duties and assists other trades as requested.
At least 2 years experience as a Kitchen Engineer, preferably in a hotel or industrial complex property.
Ability to solder and thread pipe.
Extensive knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment to include kitchen equipment, gas, steam, electrical and plumbing.
Possess extensive knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment, perception and awareness of the Hotel’s maintenance goals and policies.
Ability to effectively communicate, both in person and over the phone when dealing with management, employees, and guests.
Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Excellent customer services skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Journeyman Plumber & Electrical certificates
Previous experience working in a luxury or similar resort.
