Assist in implementing a result-driven comprehensive recruitment plan consistent with the strategic vision of MGM Resorts International Human Resources and Employment to support all levels of the MGM Resorts International organization.
Build relationships with company leadership to gain insight on operations and to understand the functions of all positions within each department.
Oversee operational processes to ensure a seamless flow, quality customer service, legal compliance and staff adherence to established policies and procedures.
Professionally represents the MGM Resorts International at local and regional job fairs, conventions and conferences and maintains positive relationships with internal and external contacts in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
Execute methods, unique marketing strategies, and process improvement to achieve desired staffing outcomes.
Maintain general knowledge of Federal and State employment law.
Utilize creative and non-traditional recruitment strategies to help build an experienced, skilled, and diverse talent pool.
Implement special recruitment programs aimed at attracting candidates for both high volume and technical positions.
Serve as an ambassador for the department, property and company.
Measure targeted results vs. expected outcomes and address concerns or ideas for improvement.
Source resumes through various forms of media including online databases and networking with numerous organizations locally and nationally.
Maintain a solid understanding/knowledge of the MGM Resorts Culture. Communicate the company philosophy of development and growth as it related to position and property progression.
Establish and maintain successful relationships with colleges, community partners, search firms, temporary staffing agencies, professional associations, and other organizations that provide recruitment value.
Assist in sourcing top candidates for student internships and management training programs.
Match resumes acquired with potential positions for which a candidate may qualify.
Assist in developing, managing, and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that highlights MGM Resorts International as an employer of choice offering exciting long-term career opportunities to achieve recruitment objectives.
Post and source career opportunities on various job boards
Serve as a knowledge source for all hotel/gaming job functions and qualifications.
Identify deficiencies in the applicant pool and appropriate actions to source the necessary quality, quantity and diversity.
Apply thorough understanding of local and national job market, early indicators of change/trends, and related information to proactively keep the recruitment function cutting edge.
Conduct weekly requisition hiring activity audits to ensure complete & timely documentation.
Stay current on federal and state employment and immigration laws and governing regulations.
Record, document, format and submit weekly operational reports.
Assist hiring managers with status updates, applicant repositioning and other common requests.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of progressive experience in Human Resources; or 3 years progressive Human Resources experience.At least 6 months prior recruitment/staffing experience involving candidate interviewing, evaluation and placement.
Ability to be motivated and be enthusiastic when being a liaison for MGM Resorts International.
Highly ethical and discreet, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks effectively.
Strong time management, judgment, meticulous attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Be comfortable in a large and fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical & reporting skills.
Proven ability to successfully match applicants within a wide range of job classifications.
Strong project management skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through.
Familiarity with recruitment and employment software programs (CTS, infinitum etc).
Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
Strong interviewing and evaluating skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to work extended workdays, weekends and holidays.
Travel to local & regional recruitment events as a representative of MGM Resorts International.

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate in English in both oral and written forms.
At least 1 year supervisory experience preferably in Hospitality Industry.
PHR, SPHR, GPHR or CA certification.
Proficiency or fluency in another language.
Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
