  • Assist in implementing a result-driven comprehensive recruitment plan consistent with the strategic vision of MGM Resorts International Human Resources and Employment to support all levels of the MGM Resorts International organization.
  • Build relationships with company leadership to gain insight on operations and to understand the functions of all positions within each department.
  • Oversee operational processes to ensure a seamless flow, quality customer service, legal compliance and staff adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Professionally represents the MGM Resorts International at local and regional job fairs, conventions and conferences and maintains positive relationships with internal and external contacts in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
  • Execute methods, unique marketing strategies, and process improvement to achieve desired staffing outcomes.
  • Maintain general knowledge of Federal and State employment law.
  • Utilize creative and non-traditional recruitment strategies to help build an experienced, skilled, and diverse talent pool.
  • Implement special recruitment programs aimed at attracting candidates for both high volume and technical positions.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the department, property and company.
  • Measure targeted results vs. expected outcomes and address concerns or ideas for improvement.
  • Source resumes through various forms of media including online databases and networking with numerous organizations locally and nationally.
  • Maintain a solid understanding/knowledge of the MGM Resorts Culture. Communicate the company philosophy of development and growth as it related to position and property progression.
  • Establish and maintain successful relationships with colleges, community partners, search firms, temporary staffing agencies, professional associations, and other organizations that provide recruitment value.
  • Assist in sourcing top candidates for student internships and management training programs.
  • Match resumes acquired with potential positions for which a candidate may qualify.
  • Assist in developing, managing, and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that highlights MGM Resorts International as an employer of choice offering exciting long-term career opportunities to achieve recruitment objectives.
  • Post and source career opportunities on various job boards
  • Serve as a knowledge source for all hotel/gaming job functions and qualifications.
  • Identify deficiencies in the applicant pool and appropriate actions to source the necessary quality, quantity and diversity.
  • Apply thorough understanding of local and national job market, early indicators of change/trends, and related information to proactively keep the recruitment function cutting edge.
  • Conduct weekly requisition hiring activity audits to ensure complete & timely documentation.
  • Stay current on federal and state employment and immigration laws and governing regulations.
  • Record, document, format and submit weekly operational reports.
  • Assist hiring managers with status updates, applicant repositioning and other common requests.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of progressive experience in Human Resources; or 3 years progressive Human Resources experience.At least 6 months prior recruitment/staffing experience involving candidate interviewing, evaluation and placement.
  • Ability to be motivated and be enthusiastic when being a liaison for MGM Resorts International.
  • Highly ethical and discreet, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management, judgment, meticulous attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Be comfortable in a large and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical & reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully match applicants within a wide range of job classifications.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with recruitment and employment software programs (CTS, infinitum etc).
  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
  • Strong interviewing and evaluating skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended workdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Travel to local & regional recruitment events as a representative of MGM Resorts International.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate in English in both oral and written forms. 


  • At least 1 year supervisory experience preferably in Hospitality Industry.
  • PHR, SPHR, GPHR or CA certification.
  • Proficiency or fluency in another language.
  • Previous experience in a similar resort setting.
