GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Risk Management Clerk will perform a variety of duties related to the processing of Workers Compensation Claims, monitoring the claims status, maintaining OSHA logs, assist with accident investigations, monitor safety initiatives, file EPA reports, maintain and monitor insurance certificates, maintain auto insurance cards, maintain reports and ensure building safety, and any other duties as directed by management. 

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Collect incident reports; mail notice to the Oklahoma Workers Comp Court; review medical bills and fee schedule bills for payment; track appointment confirmations for payroll purposes; report to HR if claimant is off work for FMLA purposes; work with managers and supervisors on accommodating light duty; notify managers when there are work status changes; communicate with medical providers to ensure current work status reports; maintain electronic OSHA logs for all companies; help obtain information and statements from witnesses to incidents for Workers Comp, General Liability, and Auto Claims; track employee safety training to ensure all current employees have attended, track Safety Incentive Program; help promote Safety Incentive Program; track safety committee meeting minutes and ensure concerns have been dealt with; track Uniform Hazardous Waste manifests; track chemicals used and their corresponding MSDS sheets; file annual reports to California EPA; track certificates of insurance for vendors, contract drivers, and other contractors to ensure accuracy and effective dates as well as coverage’s; provide insurance cards for California registrations and vehicle tags; run MVR’s on drivers; track company auto changes; monitor fire protection bills to ensure sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers are adequately inspected; filing; any other duties as directed by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Producing accurate and high quality work; ability to handle multiple projects at once; 2-3 years experience preferred; college degree preferred; must have outstanding communications skills, they must be able to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to meet tight deadlines.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have advanced data entry skills in order to constantly maintain the work order system

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
 
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs frequently to move objects.

Work Environment:  Indoor climate controlled environment.
