GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Janitorial Manager is responsible for directing janitorial staff to providing a clean and sanitary surrounding for the employees and public; promotes sanitary conditions that prevent the spread of infection and odor.   Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable.  Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks. Must be able to work efficiently, self- motivated, and take direction well. Perform any other duties as directed by management. 

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment; responsible for the disposal of trash; Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures; Coordinate and monitor schedules for employees;  train, coach, and manage all employees; insure safety and productivity of employees; enforce all company policies and procedures; perform evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed. Be a role model and leader and solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the department in order to achieve maximum results. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them; Service, clean, and supply restrooms; Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Perform other related work as required. 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Ability to repetitively lift heavy equipment of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; 1-3 years experience required; Bilingual required; positive attitude when working others; knowledge of employment and safety procedures. 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
 
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs rarely, 20 lbs occasionally, and 10 lbs frequently.

Work Environment: Works in hot and/or cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
