GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision the wood foundation assembler will perform warehouse functions such as, but not limited to, assembling wood components on a jig-table. Also will need to perform any other duties as directed by management.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Knowledge of merchandise; assemble wood components together with wood glue and pneumatic coil nail gun; assembly line work alongside partner assembling wood foundations which feeds the box springs upholstery line; keep warehouse and loading area clean; check daily closing assignments and responsibilities.
Ability to lift merchandise of 50+ lbs occasionally; ability to communicate effectively with team members; Forklift experience is a plus; face paced, production line work environment; knowledge of employment and safety procedures.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Lifting up to 50+ lbs occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects.
Works in an indoor, climate controlled environment.
