To assist with the daily international trade compliance and logistics activities including the coordination of international transportation freight quotes, audit invoices and reconcile payments from vendors, organize order fulfillment activities, documentation and files; to coordinate and maintain export off-site inventory activities to assure adherence to all policies and procedures.


  • Provide back up support for ocean freight quote and management process
  • Assist with rate request process working with Freight Forwarders to provide timely, accurate, and competitive freight quotes to LP
  • A/P execution: audit, payment, and reconciliation of Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker invoices
  • Assist with the organization, packet preparation, and filing of export documentation for customers and corporate recordkeeping
  • Provide administrative assistance and coordinate responses to Customs Broker inquiries
  • Facilitate claims process and take corrective action as necessary to resolve discrepancies
  • Manage export reload transactions; compliance, balance all inventory levels weekly while assuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Update problem resolution records to initiate root cause analysis and process improvement
  • Prioritize, communicate and provide administrative support to ensure that orders meet commitments
  • Proactively resolve day-to-day issues that may impact internal or external customers
  • Ensure shipments are in compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations and company policies
  • Provide back up support for other logistics coordinators and team members
  • Order office supplies in adherence to the departmental budget
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary
Skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Knowledge of ocean, air, rail, and truck transport shipping environment
  • Basic knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation principles
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of  inventory management methods
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment
  • Basic project management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated organizational, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of information systems, spreadsheet applications, inventory management and/or transportation management system
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Associates degree in Business or related field desirable

  • 2+  years’ previous logistics transportation experience, import-export environment preferred
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
