To provide complex support within an assigned area by providing accurate, consistent, and timely accounting information and support to facility management.  May directly supervises assigned clerical staff, including hiring, coaching, and completing performance reviews.

  • Responsible for all General Ledger Accounting for multiple plants; analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
  • Review, research, and evaluate complex issues and initiate changes or corrections as needed
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of financial reports, including analysis of significant Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and submit tax worksheets as required by Corporate Tax Department
  • Develop and maintain a system of internal controls; conduct periodic site audits
  • Schedule and direct the annual budget process with the plant business team; prepare regular forecasting information
  • Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analysis for proposed capital projects; monitor project status
  • Participate on special project teams as needed
  • Maintain, monitor, and analyze Corporate accounts
  • May hire, coach, train, and evaluate the performance of assigned clerical staff
  • May direct the day-to-day work flow and assignments or supervise departmental staff; act as a resource to staff on complex questions or issues
  • May perform Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing as needed
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as necessary
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of effective management and supervisory methods
  • Knowledge of plant manufacturing environment and processes
  • Knowledge of income tax regulations and state sales and use tax regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and math skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet regular deadlines
  • Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation desirable.


  • 4+ years’ demonstrated professional accounting experience
  • Demonstrated lead or supervisory experience required
  • Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position


  • Office environment
  • Frequent travel required.
